About NoorderHuys

NoorderHuys Participaties (
www.noorderhuys.nl) is a private equity fund focusing on mid-size Dutch companies. The fund was established early 2007 by John Ritchi, Johannes Osinga, Jan ten Cate and Alfred Stel. An experienced team that was involved in approximately 50 mostly successful transactions in the past years. The investors in the fund have committed themselves to invest more than € 60 million. The minimum term of the fund of 8 years is amply sufficient to give participations the opportunity to map out a well-defined strategy.

The companies that NoorderHuys concentrates on have a rough business value in the range of € 10 to € 60 million. NoorderHuys then contributes between € 2 and € 9 million of its own funds. Larger investments are made in conjuction with the fund's investors or other co-investors. NoorderHuys takes both majority and minority stakes.

The group of investors in the fund consists of a select group of (former) entrepreneurs and several corporate parties (amongst which F. van Lanschot Bankiers and Optimix Vermogensbeheer). The composition of the group is such that an appeal to their expertise can be made for a diversity of investments.
